Milton Keynes, 4th November 2013 - Each is powered by ŠKODA’s proven 1.6-litre TDI CR 90PS DPF diesel engine linked to a five-speed manual transmission. The result is emissions of just 99g/km and an official combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg†.
With BIK values of just 14% the pair are expected to prove especially popular with fleet and corporate customers. Running costs are further reduced because each is in VED Band A.
As with all ŠKODA GreenLine models, specification is exceptionally generous. Both cars come with 15-inch ‘Carme’ alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres, front fog lights and sunset glass. Inside there is a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning and a MAXI DOT trip computer.
These desirable comfort and convenience features are in addition to the standard equipment which is on all Rapid and Rapid Spaceback cars. That includes heated door mirrors, height-adjustable head rests and a reach-and-rake adjustable steering wheel.
The ŠKODA Rapid GreenLine is priced at £17,535 on the road, while the Rapid Spaceback GreenLine is £17,195. The duo are available to order now, with first customer deliveries expected in early 2014.
The ŠKODA Rapid is the seventh car in the brand’s award-winning range, and was the first car to be envisioned and created with ŠKODA’s new design language when it was launched last year. At 4.48 metres long, the compact family hatchback provides outstanding space for five passengers and their luggage.
The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback broadens the Rapid’s appeal in the compact family hatchback segment. With its class-leading 415-litre boot, it sets new sector standards for interior space and is available with a number of personalisation options that allow buyers to tailor the car to their own tastes. All versions, including the GreenLine model, will arrive in showrooms in January 2014.
